Missy is wonderful, very quick responses and very helpful! My husband and I will most definitely be back! The house is so cozy and clean, with everything you need to feel right at home, plus what a perk that you get to drive the golf cart around the whole island, that was our favorite part! I’ve stayed at a lot VRBOs. This place was exactly as depicted. It was awesome. For workaholics like us, we were able to unwind in this cute beach home that had everything you needed. The porch swings are the best and great for relaxing while listening to the birds sing. We rented the golf cart during our stay, and it was a blast driving the backroads on the island. The beach is close by and easily accessible. Our host, Missy, was quick to respond if we had any questions. We definitely will be back.

We loved the property! It is very well cared for, cozy and unique. We loved the location! Quiet neighborhood & we walked everywhere we wanted to go. If we visit Tybee again, we will stay at The Salty Mermaid for sure! We added the extra of heating the pool & I would recommend this. Our family really enjoyed the pool, hot tub & patio area!

The Salty Mermaid was everything we had wished for and more. The location is great for the beach and easy walking since it is a nice mid-point of Tybee. The over all consensus was it was "the cutest VRBO ever" by the entire group. The pool was heated and warm enough to swim in February and the hot tub and firepit were great at night. Missy was very responsible via VRBO app and text upon arrival.

This Very Magical little slice of heaven was EXACTLY what I've Needed for a very very long time. It was So peaceful and The outside shower was the best. we never even washed inside. Missy was an outstanding host. She was available, responsive, and even went over to check the cottage out early so we could check in a bit early. She had everything we needed for our vacation and having to pack less is always a must. She sent perfectly clear instructions and recommendations for the area. This place was perfect for our 20-year anniversary. Everything was very clean, with all the amenities needed and very charming. We felt very safe walking around the neighborhood and there is so much to see and do within footsteps of the place. The cottage exceeded all our expectations. The cottage is in the best location - private and serene, yet conveniently close to everything on the island, including the beach. One of the biggest perks was the complimentary golf cart, which made exploring the island so much fun. Tybee Island is entirely golf cart-friendly, so having this at our disposal was a huge bonus. The coastal breezes coming over the marsh were absolutely amazing. The kids had a blast roasting s’mores at night and playing ping pong and giant Jenga. We were so impressed with every detail, from the charming decor to the comfortable amenities. We will definitely be back for sure!

Missy provides nearly everything you need for the beach, essentially all you need to bring is a swimsuit. We absolutely loved our stay, the location was perfect near great food and fun and a quick jaunt to the beach. We had so much fun and the kiddos did not want to leave. Our family LOVED this house! Owner was awesome to work with and check in/out was simple and easy. Missy has truly thought of everything you need from the house to the beach! Southern Conch Cottage

Welcome to paradise! As one of my guests stated, "The screened porch to our private guest-room was already enough to make me feel like our sweet host, Missy, was sending a welcome hug". This guest room is basically an in-law suite inside our darling cottage which has it's own private access door and dealt bolted from the guests side to our main cottage. We can't say enough about both the cottage and Tybee itself, what a perfect get away! Missy has thought of everything and makes the whole process so easy. The cottage is relaxed and classy and beautifully decorated, that artwork! Love the location, couldn't be any better. We ate our way through the fabulous food of Tybee and Savannah! Yum! Oh and the pool, my husbands' happy place for sure. We will certainly return and will recommend The Southern Conch to our fellow travelers!
